I am excited to let you know that I have decided to run for Catholic trustee for Ward 1 in Toronto.  Having been involved in the Catholic church for many years as a lector and youth minister,  I have long worked to help the Body of Christ.  I want to bring my skills and talents to help better our Catholic school system.

My platform includes:

* being respectful with your tax dollars

* fight amalgamation of the Catholic school board with the public board

* focus on Christ centred education for our children

* return parent concerned calls and emails within 24 hours

In order to serve the people of Ward one, I must conduct an aggressive campaign.  

 

For this campaign to be successful I will need many volunteers and money to help with flyer distribution, mailings, making calls, sign installations and handing out postcards after each mass beginning Sept 27th.  I cannot do it all and that is why I am going to the people who know me best to help me and inviting them to get involved to help with the campaign so that I can make a difference.

I am having a fund raising party on Friday, September 19th at my building at 61 markbrook lane in the party room. (corner of kipling and steeles) Tickets are $50/person and starts at 7 pm.  Please RSVP by September 12th. 

For those of you who cannot attend.  You can make a donation at my webpage at robertpella.com.  Your gift of $25, $50, $75, $100 to a maximum of $500 will help me to launch my campaign.  Our goal is to reach $3000 by the end of September.

Voting day is on October 27th (same as the Toronto mayoral race)
